Hello, East Boulder County Resisters and Activists!

We are pleased to announce that two great groups, East BOCO+ and Indivisible East Boulder, are merging under one big umbrella (IEB). Over the past couple of months, steering teams from our two groups have met and found that our groups have a great deal in common:

• We are close geographically.

• We share a desire to meet locally and pay attention to local politics as a backstop to the negative impacts of the national political scene.

• Both groups are committed to the long-term goals of flipping the U.S. House in 2018, the White House and Senate after that.

• We agree that, although they are cathartic and fun and can build community, we must supplement rallies and marches with constant calls and meetings with our representatives, fielding candidates at all levels of government that reflect our progressive political, community, and environmental values (we have to flip the Colorado legislature as soon as possible!), and, most important, getting out the vote.

• The steering teams embrace a collaborative, consensus-driven leadership style and believe deeply that there is power in numbers and that we are better together.

Here's how the merger will roll out:

• We will merge the East BOCO+ and IEB email lists. If you do not wish to be included on the email list, you must opt out by sending an email to deblkf@gmail.com.

• All East BOCO+ Facebook members must join the IEB group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1744815012503879/. We will be shutting down East BOCO+ on Facebook on (or about) May 1st.

• We will combine efforts on the web here: http://www.indivisibleeastboulder.org/

You can expect and action item a week and monthly events to keep ups moving collectively, irrepressibly toward our goals.
